Angel Sanctuary has 20 volumes in Japanese (complete) and the only language it has ever been translated into is Chinese and French, so don't send emails harrassing on where to find the English version. I don't know if you are a newbie to mangas but they usually don't translate them unless it's some super americanized thing like Card Captor Sakura. The manga contains six chapters each, that was first published in the bi-weekly comic magazine Hana to Yume and then collected into book form by Hakusensha. I keep on hearing that there are 21 volumes in Chinese(?), I don't know about that but volume 20 in Japanese was like 50 pages thicker than usual so if they split it up in the Chinese edition, all I can say is that you got cheated.

What I wrote for "collection" is the year and the Hana to Yume issue numbers of the chapters that were collected for that volume.

• comic novel

Besides the manga, there is now a comic novel series that just started being published. Volumes 5 and 6 are coming on 12/13/02. It's basically a reprint of the manga, but only on smaller paper and the books are thicker. One volume contains 12 chapters, which would be equivalent of two manga volumes. The only thing new about them is that they come with a commentary at the end of each volume, from different people.
